Creating Your Astronomical Image

Use the Astronomical Image Coloring Tool to create your image then answer the questions below.

To make an image:

• For each of the filters you wish to use, start by clicking on each filter and then assigning each filter with the correct chromatically ordered colors.
• Adjust the sliders to color balance the image so it clearly shows the areas or objects you wish to study.

Note: Some of the objects do not have images for 6 different filters. If an image is not available, the filter button will appear as “greyed out”.
